• "To get lost is to learn the way".

    African Proverb

Our Name

Baraza La Afrika comes from the word “Baraza” in the Swahili language which means, ‘a gathering space or a community space’. The term '“Afrika” is an original way of writing the name of the continent. Combining these terms, we’ve created this organization to be a gathering space for learning about Afrika’s history, culture, and the impact of acculturation. It is also a place where all African talents are gathered.

Our Mission

Baraza La Afrika’s mission is to facilitate the full integration of immigrants from an African background to achieve a good quality of life in the Fargo-Moorhead area.
